Biography

She was devoted to music from a very early age. At 5, she was accepted at the Kiev music national school for high achievers. She has won several international prizes : International Piano Competition Citta・di Pinerolo (Italy, 1995) ; Missouri Southern International Piano Competition (USA, 1996) ; International Piano Competition Sergue・Prokofiev (Ukraine, 1997) ; International Piano Competition de Musique Vianna da Motta de Macao (China, 1999) ; International Piano Competition Brest (France, 2002)...

In 1999, Nathalia Romanenko came to Paris for further studies. She studied with Olivier Gardon and Jacques Rouvier. She won the first prize of the Conservatoire de Paris (CNR) in 2001.

Accompanist at the Conservatoire de Paris, Nathalia Romanenko wishes to restore this job to its former luster and to place it in the foreground. In an interview she gave to the magazine "La lettre du musicien", she quoted Alfred Brendel and Daniel Barenboim・.

But, « feeling comfortable with all composers and especially with the amazing Russian music and Liszt » (La Marseillaise, 26/10/2003), she dedicates most of her time to her concerts.

In 2003, for the 300th anniversary of the city of St Petersburg, she gave a concert for official delegations of Russian and French States at the Cheremetieff palace. The press was enthusiastic. In 2005, at the request of Iouri Bashmet, she played at the Fenice Theater in Venice. She also met the cellist Mstislav Rostropovitch that same year and he exclaimed: « she is a new Wanda Landowska! » after listening to her. He requested her to be her accompanist in his cello competition in Paris.

In 2007, Nathalia Romanenko made a concert tour in Central America organized by Alliance Française and by Culturesfrance. The daily newspaper La Nacion wrote on 26 February 2007: « Nathalia Romanenko displays an impressive skill and manages to extract incredible sounds as she is fully one with her piano ». And, El diario de Hoy: « young Nathalia Romanenko already has not only a great past but also a great future ».

In 2009, Nathalia Romanenko recorded the 5th concerto by Anton Rubinstein with l'Orchestre national de Cannes (PACA) and its conductor Philippe Bender.

In 2010, she inaugurated the France – Russia year at the Moscow conservatory in the Mythical Tchaïkovski hall with the 5th concerto for piano and orchestra by Saint-Saens under the leadership of Jean-François Heisser, and she also created the Extraordinaria Classica association to promote unrecognized and forgotten composers.

In December 2011 in Lyon during the Festival of lights, Nathalia Romanenko has created, in the company of the famous lighting designer, Jacques Rouveyrollis, a unique show in the world - Music in Colors - a marriage of classical music and the colors, the dream of Voltaire.

In March 2012, in Toulouse, with the writer Marek Halter and the Mayor of Toulouse Pierre Cohen, she presented a French premiere of concerto Opus 25 of Victor Ullmann, under the direction of Joseph Swensen with the orchestre du Capitole, a vibrant tribute to deported Jewish composers in Terezin.

In 2013, she presents at the Théâtre du Châtelet "Musique en Couleurs" ("Music in Colours")
highlighted by Jacques Rouveyrollis.

In 2013 with the orchestra column, it offers the public a concerto by Massenet, played very little.
She followed up in 2014 with the TEREZIN project for which it occurs with the National Orchestra of Nice, Lille, Metz.

In 2015, Prague and Terezin, for the 70th anniversary of the liberation of Nazi concentration camps, she directed the world premiere of Viktor Ullmann's concerto for piano and organ, transcribed by Diego Maggi, presented by Marek Halter and Ben Kingsley, before a gathering of heads of state.
